Applications are invited for the teaching and scholarship (teaching-focused) post of Lecturer in Translation Studies, which is tenable from 1 September 2021 and offered on an open-ended basis. You must be fully proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese and be able to deliver courses in Mandarin <> English translation and in Mandarin <> English dialogue interpreting for business and public services.

You must have a PhD (awarded) or equivalent in a relevant field and demonstrable teaching experience in Translation Studies at university level, including on MA programmes, as well as in curriculum/programme development. Experience with virtual learning environments and in developing online teaching materials is essential. Expertise in intercultural communication would be an advantage. As this is a teaching-focused post, contributions to refereed publications on scholarship of education, teaching and learning, or curriculum design would be desirable. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to empathise with students.
